CNN:UK and EU strike Brexit transition deal

Under the terms, the UK will be able to negotiate trade deals with other countries during the 21-month transition, which begins when Britain officially leaves the EU at the end of March 2019.

But in order to secure the deal — which gives a degree of certainty for businesses — the UK was forced to make concessions, including on the rights of EU citizens who arrive during the transition period. London also had to accept a “backstop” deal to avoid a “hard” Irish border that would keep Northern Ireland subject to EU law.

Telegraph:Theresa May says UK will ‘never tolerate’ Russian threat as Putin expels 23 British diplomats

Theresa May has warned the Kremlin that Britain will not be cowed by its decision to expel 23 British diplomats in an escalation of the dispute following the Salisbury attack.

Responding to President Putin’s decision to escalate diplomatic tensions, Mrs May told a gathering of Conservative Party members that his antics would not distract from the fact that Russia was “in flagrant breach of international law.”

Speaking at the Conservative Spring Forum in London, Mrs May said Russia’s response, which includes shutting down the British Council, did not “change the facts of the matter”.

The history of tit for tat and assassinations is detailed in the article.

CbsAustin: Fourth Explosion that injured 2 in SW Austin possibly triggered by tripwire

Early Monday morning Chief Manley said that the explosion on Sunday evening could have possibly been detonated by a tripwire.

He said investigators are “working under the belief” that the explosives are similar, but Sunday’s bomb was possibly on the side of the road, not on a front porch.
Speaking to “Good Morning America,” Manley says the most recent bomb showed “different level of skill.”

The explosion injured two males who were riding or pushing bikes on the street.

Regents School of Austin delayed classes until 10a.

In 2014 and 2015, opioid manufacturers paid hundreds of doctors across the country six-figure sums for speaking, consulting and other services. Thousands of other doctors were paid over $25,000 during that time.

Physicians who prescribed particularly large amounts of the drugs were the most likely to get paid.
