The Guardian:This is all the data Facebook and Google have on you
Google knows where you’ve been
Google stores your location (if you have location tracking turned on) every time you turn on your phone. You can see a timeline of where you’ve been from the very first day you started using Google on your phone.
Facebook has reams and reams of data on you, too
This includes every message you’ve ever sent or been sent, every file you’ve ever sent or been sent, all the contacts in your phone, and all the audio messages you’ve ever sent or been sent.
BBC:The teen who built a prosthetic arm for his dad
Robbie Frei’s father is a Marine veteran who lost part of his right arm in Iraq. One challenge was that he couldn’t play video games with his children. So Robbie designed a 3D-printed adapter for him. He’s since made the design available for anyone in the world to download. The 18-year-old has heard back from several people who have used the adapter – including a 21-year-old Air Force veteran and a man whose daughter has cerebral palsy.
Since then, Robbie has also made a prosthetic for his dad that not only has fingers and can move, but that, like the adapter, could be affordably 3D-printed.

DallasMorningNews:Affluenza’ mom Tonya Couch arrested over alleged bond violation
Couch, 50, was booked into the Tarrant County jail Wednesday after authorities say she violated the conditions of her bond. Court documents indicate that she failed a urinalysis test.
Couch faces charges of hindering the apprehension of a fugitive and money laundering. She has been free on bond since 2016; as part of the conditions of her release, she is not allowed to drink alcohol.
Ethan Couch, now 20, was driving drunk when he crashed a pickup in June 2013, killing four people and seriously injuring two others.
DallasMorningNews:More residents forced to evacuate homes in northwest Dallas over gas leak concerns
Atmos crews responding to a natural gas smell Wednesday evening evacuated homes and apartment units in the same northwest Dallas neighborhood where a girl was killed last month in a house explosion.
The mandatory evacuations began about 7 p.m. for residents of 25 homes along Linda and Nogales drives, near Webb Chapel Road, Atmos said.

South China Morning Post:China needs more water. So it’s building a rain-making network three times the size of Spain
China is testing cutting-edge defence technology to develop a powerful yet relatively low-cost weather modification system to bring substantially more rain to the Tibetan plateau, Asia’s biggest freshwater reserve.
The system, which involves an enormous network of fuel-burning chambers installed high up on the Tibetan mountains, could increase rainfall in the region by up to 10 billion cubic metres a year – about 7 per cent of China’s total water consumption – according to researchers involved in the project.
