I’m el Dub

The sun came out today! I’m parked under a fine shade tree drinking my first diet Dr Pepper.

Alright, all the mouthbreathing nonsense is over. Doug Jones walks away the winner in Alabama with a HUGE 1 pct LANDSLIDE! It wasn’t a STUNNING victory as the NYT says. You can list to the news or you can listen to this: It’s Trump’s fault. Roy Moore should retire. Referendum!

It’s the south! Alabama voters made the choice they could live with. Those that couldn’t stayed home.

You’ll also see a sudden end to everyone’s interest in sexual misconduct. It’s over. Prove me wrong.

So what’s been happening in the world?

The development would be for a term of 49 years and would grant the Russian Navy access to the territorial waters and to various ports of the Syrian Arab Republic. The revamped Tartus navy base would be able to accept up to 11 ships at once, including nuclear-powered vessels.

RT: US State Dept offers smug gestures but no answers on stripping of RT credentials

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert has brushed off a question from RT about the withdrawal of its Congress credentials, and whether this contradicts her past vow that registration as a foreign agent would not impede the broadcaster’s ability to report.

RT: Japan startup “smashes” SpaceX record, eyes moon landing by 2020

A Japanese aerospace startup has broken the fundraising record for commercial space exploration, far exceeding SpaceX. The company plans to land a rover on the moon’s surface by the end of 2020.

By smashing, they mean they have raised some money.

RT: Former US House Speaker Hastert banned from being alone with minors

If you know who he is this isn’t a surprise.

RT: ‘Monster bird’ Remains of man-sized penguin discovered in New Zealand

Based on an analysis of the fossils, researchers have determined that in its lifetime the penguin reached a height of nearly nearly 6 feet tall (1.7 meters) and weighed around 220 pounds (100 kilograms). The Emperor Penguin, which is the largest penguin that exists today at up to four feet and 99 pounds, would have been dwarfed by the giant bird.
