I promised this some time back:
ChicagoTribune:Officials say Possible measles exposure reported at O’Hare International Airport
A passenger with a confirmed case of measles landed at the international terminal (Terminal 5) on Wednesday morning and departed on a domestic flight from Terminal 1, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Anyone who has not been vaccinated routinely at the airport that day is at risk.
DallasMorningNews:Bullet-riddled vehicle drops victim of deadly shooting off at Red Bird hospital
The victim, 28-year-old Keith Fowler, was pronounced dead at the Red Bird hospital after a vehicle with bullet holes in the passenger-side window arrived at the emergency room, Dallas police said.
Police believe Fowler was shot in the 6000 block of Greenspan Avenue in Red Bird. No information about suspects was available. Detectives were interviewing witnesses and looking for surveillance video, a police spokeswoman said Saturday.
Telegraph:Police find body of suspected crossbow killer who ‘murdered neighbour in row over noise’
Shane Gilmer, 30, had recently returned home from a date with his partner Laura Sugden, 27, when he was killed in a bloodied attack by an intruder. Ms Sugden and her unborn baby survived, and were in a stable condition this evening.
Detectives were searching for Anthony Lawrence, 55, who went missing on Friday night following the killing.
However, tonight they confirmed they had discovered the body of Lawrence inside a vehicle at a ‘rural location in North Yorkshire’ following a two-day manhunt.
The investigation is continuing.
Oklahoman: OKC police will gear up with body cams, though rollout has hit snags
After almost three years since they were approved to be worn by Oklahoma City officers, the department is set to implement its full body-worn camera program next month.
AP:States tackle shortcomings in sexual misconduct policies
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. —A 50-state review by The Associated Press found that almost all legislative chambers now have at least some type of written sexual harassment policy, though they vary widely, and many are placing a greater emphasis on preventing and punishing sexual misconduct as they convene for their 2018 sessions.
News quotient low…
Telegraph:Pet leopard escaped and hunted sheep as it ran free for a week in Cornish countryside
A pet leopard escaped and hunted sheep as it ran free for a week in Cornish countryside, it emerged yesterday as the animal’s killing spree only ended by a farmer and his fox traps.
Oddly the article doesn’t mention the fat of the cat.
RT:CIA-Moby collusion: Distorted discourse in America
The CIA’s job is not to reach out to Hollywood liberals to try to undermine their boss, the president of the US, whether it is Obama or Trump, political talk show host Bryan Crabtree tells RT.
In an interview on Thursday to promote his new album, American musician and DJ Moby claimed he has been doing the behind-the-scenes bidding of anti-Donald Trump figures, saying that his friends in the CIA had asked him, due to his significant presence on social media, to promote certain ideas online, including the alleged collusion between the US president and Russia.
DallasMorningNews:Getting back to football: Ex-Cowboy Babe Laufenberg shares son’s cancer battle
All those years playing quarterback in college and the NFL, Babe Laufenberg made Christmas trips to try to lift the spirits of sick children in hospitals. His very last college game was at East-West Shrine Game. It raised money for children’s hospitals. The NFL Players Association once sent him all the way to Alaska on a hospital mission.
The bad news came Dec. 26. Babe Laufenberg began crying. Uncontrollably. He cried just about all the time. He cried before he went to bed at night and first thing when he woke in the morning. He cried, he said, “for two straight weeks.”
For the first time in his decades working Cowboys games, Laufenberg, a Cowboy from 1989-90, didn’t visit their locker room to prep for the next game.
Son Luke is in for a serious battle but wants to get back on the field.
In Texas, you have a a 50-50 shot of strikes lake fishing but for all good lakes I’m suggesting you wait for Friday morning dawn and just before sunset.
The next couple of days, take her shoe shopping or go fishing far away.
